Principal's Message
Dear SBHS Community,
Welcome back to a new and exciting school year at San Benito High School! I hope this message finds you refreshed, recharged, and ready to embark on another year of the gold standard in education.
As we prepare to welcome our students back to campus, I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for your dedication to our school and district. Your commitment to our students and community is the foundation of our success, and I am confident that together, we will make this year a great one.
Last year, our school achieved several milestones, from academic accomplishments such as 14 of our students earning an associate’s degree to extracurricular triumphs such as Football BOTA and Bi-District Champions, Volleyball District Champions, and Girls Basketball Bi-District Champions along with a multitude of Skills USA state and district accolades. These successes are a direct result of your relentless efforts and unwavering belief in our students. I encourage you to take pride in these achievements as we strive to reach even greater heights in the 2024-2025 school year.
This year, we will continue to focus on providing an environment conducive for learning and an education that meets the diverse needs of our student body. We have two amazing individuals that will be serving as our Deans of Instruction. Mrs. Korab will oversee the Math and Science department and Mrs. Molina will oversee the English and Social Studies department. Our goals include:
- Enhancing student engagement through innovative teaching strategies.
- Strengthening our higher education experience.
- Promoting social-emotional learning to support students' overall well-being.
- Continuing our commitment to professional development to ensure we stay at the forefront of educational best practices.
We are here to support you in every way possible. Should you need any assistance, whether it’s something minor or something on a bigger scale, please do not hesitate to contact to us.
Our administrative team will have a new addition, Mr. Julius Pardo, will be joining us as an assistant principal in addition to familiar faces such as Ms. Rebecca Salinas, Ms. Ilsa Ochoa, Mr. Gabriel Trevino, and myself. We are available to help with anything you need.
In closing, I want to reiterate how thrilled I am to have each of you as part of the SBHS family. Together, we will continue to inspire, challenge, and empower our students to achieve their fullest potential. Let's make this school year one of growth, achievement, and memorable experiences.
Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
Warm regards,
Manuela Lopez
