A huge congratulations goes out to all students who completed this past week at South Texas College in Weslaco, TX for Business Professionals of America (BPA). Eight students for BPA Chapter 8 are advanced to state competitions to complete in Parliamentary Procedures and Digital Publishing. Mrs. Irma I. Perez, Sponsor, Mr. Rolando Guerra, CTE Director, & Mrs. Isabel Solis, SBHS Principal, wish all participants the best of luck at state. State competitions will be held in March in Dallas, Texas. Way to go Greyhounds!

San Benito High School students left to right Arlette Rodriguez, Cameron Diaz and Noe Barrientos are working together as representatives of the South Texas Youth Congress to bring faster internet and life skills counselor to the high school.

Congratulations are in order for very our own Eric Acosta for his nomination to the 2019 H-E-B Excellence in Education Award! This award recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding public school educators across the State of Texas. Best of luck Mr. Acosta!

Nominee for the 2018 UIL Sponsor Excellence Award

Congratulations Alysa Naranjo for receiving a prestigious scholarship to The University of Texas at Austin in the amount of $48,000. The award, which will cover her tuition for four years, comes after Alysa was accepted to the College of Natural Sciences Pre-Pharmacy program.This is the first time that a San Benito High School student receives this scholarship.

Greyhound Nation is encouraged to donate new or gently warn coats, sweaters or jackets to their local school counselor. Let's come together and help students in need!

Class of 2019 parents and guardians can receive additional assistance in completing your child's 2019-2020 FAFSA/TAFSA applications. Please bring documents listed in the flyer. No appointment is necessary.

Volunteers will be available to help parents/guardians complete the 2019-2020 Financial Aid Application
