How to Start the Early College Academy This Coming Fall 2024
If you are interested in having your student participate in the Early College Academy (ECA) this coming Fall 2024, please do the following:
- Please fill out the following VMA Dual Enrollment Packet for Fall 2024
- Only the first 3 pages are needed…1st page: Student Checklist – Fall 2024; 2nd page: ECA Expectations Form; 3rd page: TSC Student Guidelines & Parent Consent form (ONLY 1; either in English or Spanish). You keep the last 2 pages…
- Please submit the completed packet (with signatures) by the deadline, Friday, April 5, 2024, to Mrs. Yolanda Ortega at VMA (regardless if the student has taken or passed the TSI Exams)
- Please make sure your student signs up to take the TSI Exam at VMA… they were sent an email about how to sign up to take the TSI exam through their VMA Google Classroom. Please contact Ms. Laura Gonzalez at VMA for ANY questions regarding when and where the student can take the TSI exams at VMA. Her email is [email protected]
- Here are the dates that VMA provided of when your student can take the TSI Exams
- If your student submits the packet by the deadline of April 5th and successfully passes the TSI before the end of April, they will automatically be enrolled/scheduled to start taking Dual Enrollment College Classes this coming Fall 2024 at San Benito HS
- They will be enrolled/scheduled to take at least 2 Dual Enrollment classes each semester, for the next 3 years (as long as they pass them successfully each semester)
- Please view the following tentative sequence of courses they will be taking for the next 3 years if they stay in the Early College Academy
