high school students are expected to be college and career-ready by the time they graduate unfortunately not every student graduates prepared to take on post high school life school counselors and advisors can help students become college and career-ready by creating academic plans a line to their personal needs and professional goals in Texas this means creating a personal graduation plan this plan outline students academic course sequence post-secondary plans and any certifications or licenses they will pursue during high school counselors and advisors work collaboratively with students and families to create a plan that meets all of the requirements for graduation endorsement additional educational experiences to best prepare students to meet their goals in this module you learn how to help students and families create a personal graduation plan will discuss the requirements for the foundation high school program endorsements and programs of study and certification and licensure opportunities
