Scholarships & How to Create a FastWeb Account

Each year, 17 juniors from the U.S. and Africa, along with educators from each of their schools, are selected as Bezos Scholars. They engage in leadership development skill building, and students receive college advising, all while being challenged to create Community Change Projects—fresh and sustainable approaches to meeting community needs. While in the program, student scholars receive:
  • Connection to a diverse and compassionate community of student and educator Scholars from across the nation and Africa.
  • Dynamic programming centered on building leadership skills through civic engagement projects.
  • An all-expenses-paid trip and experience to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, CO.
  • Free, personalized college advising, including support finding and applying for scholarships and financial aid.
  • $1,000 grant to fund their projects with the ability to apply for annual continued funding.
  • Ongoing leadership opportunities upon successful completion of the program through our Alum Network.
