San Benito CISD offers students the opportunity to enroll in college courses while attending high school; SBCISD’s primary dual enrollment partner college is Texas Southmost College.
The Dual Enrollment Program builds an academic bridge to the postsecondary level, while providing students and parents with a preview of postsecondary standards and expectations while studying in a familiar high school setting. Upon successful completion, these courses will be applied to the student’s high school graduation requirements and may be applied to a postsecondary degree.
SBCISD students pay no tuition or fees for dual enrollment courses. Please see and do the following so you may start or continue to participate in this great program by the following deadline: Friday, May 9, 2025:

Student must Complete TSIA2 test requirements
Student must Submit an Apply Texas application to TSC
- College Center can assist student to apply
- If student is already taking Dual Enrollment classes, they will NOT have to apply to TSC again (they can meet with Counselor)
NEW students (never taken Dual Enrollment with TSC) will need to submit the TSC Parent Consent Form
- Student will get this form at the College Center after they apply to TSC
- Student will take this form home for parent to fill out and sign (both the student and parent will need to sign it)
Student will need to meet with their respective Counselor for course advisement
- Meet to select/choose what Dual College Classes they can & should take based on their availability & graduation requirements
- Ensure that the student is on track to take as many Dual College Classes as they want & can before graduating SBHS
- This includes the pathway to earn an “Associates Degree”
